Abstract

This issue is devoted to democratic values on the one hand and to the values in a becoming democracy on the other. The first part Locality and globality of the values deals with the questions whether values are global (G. Gutner) and what is the influence of globalization on European values (H. Theisen). The interconnection between phenomenological and democratic discourses is also analyzed in this part. The second part The factors and forms of democracy deals with political aspects of the rumors (V. Pruskus). The models of Russian (L. S. Sysoyeva) and Lithuanian (K. Monkevičius) democracy are analyzed here. The third part A nation and challenges of democracy deals with the questions of nationality (A. G. Jasmontas). The ancient paradigms of democracy (M. Bokiniec) and the challenges to democracy (D. Eidukienė) are analyzed in the last part.
